Detectives diaries and note books

Criminal Investigation Department Diary 1974-75

David 'Buster' Gerring was a legend within the Detective ranks of Scotland Yard in the 1960's and 70's. A crime crusader, fearless and determined to get arrests. When he was given the 'Lucan case', hours after my mum's body was discovered rammed into an old mail sack in the basement of Lord and Lady Lucan's Belgravia townhouse, 'Buster' was rounding up an investigation team and tasking them with lines to urgently pursue.

The truth is though, Detective Chief Superintendent Gerring soon came up against a 'wall of silence' as Lucan's rich and powerful friends refused to cooperate. This is the front cover of one of his many notebooks and diaries we were given by his daughter. I think 'Buster' Gerring would be proud we were continuing his 'detective' work after his death. He was known for his amazing tenacity and determination, and I draw strength and inspiration in that.

The last cheque

The cheque made out to a private detective agency in 1974

After separating from his wife, Veronia, Lord Lucan became obsessed with her movements and the friends she kept. To keep tabs on her day and night he hired one of London's most successful and prestigious Private Detective Agencies. Their brief, to watch and record every movement of Lady Lucan and their 3 children.

This is a bank cheque as payment to the private detective agency months before my mum's murder. It was in the police files. Interestingly some of the private detectives on the Lucan case were close associates of another two infamous murderer's, Ronnie and Reggie Kray, East London's top gangsters in the 1960's and 70's, small world isn't it.

The memories of a police officer

The Mail on Sunday

Cover-up article from 11 February 2018.

Here are previously unseen and unheard recordings of Lucan that have never been published. You listen, is this Lucan’s voice? This recording is from when I video-called him in 2018…

… and when I confronted him he didn’t deny who he was!

This film published on YouTube shows who I believe to be Lord Lucan in 2012 in Australia. Lucan is clearly recognisable in this footage, see his facial profile and that he’s used to using his left hand.

The Confidential 2002 Police report

We promised you original documents. Unseen Lucan files and statements from the police archives. This is part of the 2002 Scotland Yard Confidential Case Review. I say part, because I will publish the rest of this report later. Some of the police officers names I've redacted, purely, I am sure you will understand. because they are hard working and honest Detectives just doing their jobs. I respect their privacy, but if they read this, please do get in touch with me as I would like very much to talk to you about the hard work you put in to trying to catch my mother's killer, Lord Lucan.

Anyway, here it is, the until now, secret Scotland Yard 2002 'scoping report' into the where-about of my mum's killer. As you will see, the evidence points to the fact Lucan lived rather than died in 1974.

Letter from a former Scotland Yard Detective

I have a dossier of material which I shall be sharing here in due course.

Bookmark this site and check back regularly to see as I release my findings. These are some of the items I will be sharing:

My emails with Lady Lucan before she died.

Conversation with detective constable who arrived in Belgravia the night my mum’s body was found in the cellar.

Interview with Lord Lucan’s brother in South Africa about the case.

Me talking to the babysitter who swears she saw Lucan alive and preparing to flee abroad after my mother’s murder.
